If you’ve browsed the Sniffies map lately, you’ve probably noticed a bit of a change. Profile photos might look a little different depending on where you are.

Here’s the deal: Because of tightening platform requirements and local laws regarding adult content around the world, we are now asking all profiles to include at least one Safe For Work (SFW) photo. It’s a small adjustment, but it’s a crucial step to keep the map buzzing and ensure Sniffies remains available, accessible, and compliant everywhere.

The New Rule: How It Works

We want to make this as seamless as possible for you. You don’t have to completely scrub your profile of the good stuff.

• Explicit Content Isn’t Leaving: You can absolutely still use an NSFW photo as your primary profile picture, as long as there is at least one SFW photo somewhere in your profile gallery.
• Hit Your Photo Limit? If your profile is already maxed out on slots, you’ll just need to remove one existing photo to make room for your new SFW pic.
• Don't Get Blurred: If your profile is missing an SFW photo, your Sniffies primary profile picture may appear blurred for you until you upload one. 

What changes for you? Adding an SFW photo does not restrict what you can see. If you’re in a location where NSFW content is allowed, or you’re age-verified, you’ll still see NSFW photos from other Cruisers as usual.

Why Visibility Matters

Uploading an SFW photo keeps your profile visible in regions where we’re legally required to display a filtered map. A lot of Cruisers also simply opt to stay in SFW mode.If you don’t have an SFW picture available, you might just appear as a mysterious blur to others.

More visibility equals more chats, and more chats equals... well, you know. An SFW picture simply ensures you’re open to meeting up and cruising with as many people on the map as possible.

We know changes like this can feel frustrating, especially for longtime Cruisers who love the platform exactly as it is. But taking these small steps today helps protect the larger future of Sniffies tomorrow.

At its heart, Sniffies is still the same horny, no-holds-barred experience you know and love. NSFW content is part of our DNA—and you know we wouldn’t give it up easily. The Sniffies map remains a place to chase your curiosity and find connection. You can still upload explicit photos to your profile, and, of course, what happens in your private chats stays in your chats.We’re rolling this update out to all Cruisers over the coming weeks to keep the map full, active, and global. After all, a full Sniffies map means more meetups and more exploring.
