If you’ve browsed the Sniffies map in certain areas, you’ve probably noticed a bit of a change. Profile photos look slightly different from the ones you’re used to seeing on the Sniffies map. Here’s the deal: Because of platform requirements and local laws in some locations, not everyone is allowed to view NSFW images on the map.
Why Add a SFW Photo?
That’s why we’re asking you to add at least one SFW picture to your profile—so that everyone regardless of local rules—can see your photo on the Sniffies map. In some areas, ID verification unlocks restricted content where it’s required by law, but a lot of Cruisers opt to stay in SFW mode, which means they’ll only see a Cruiser’s photo on the map if they have at least one SFW picture available in their profile.
A SFW picture on your profile means you’re open to meeting up, experimenting, and cruising who you really want with as many people on the map as possible. More visibility equals more chats and more chats equals more…well you know.
The Sniffies Map is Still Made for Cruising
But don’t worry, Cruisers, at its heart, Sniffies is still the same horny, no-holds-barred experience you know and love. NSFW content is a part of the Sniffies DNA—and you know we wouldn’t give it up that easily. The Sniffies map remains a place to chase your curiosity and find connection. You can still upload explicit photos to your profile in addition to your SFW picture, and, of course, what happens in your chats stays in your chats.
We’re making this change to ensure the Sniffies map stays available to everyone in every region, and to make sure Cruisers will be able to be as visible as possible on the map. After all, a full Sniffies map means more meet ups and more exploring.
