Let’s face it: taking a dick up your ass is hard, especially the first time. Between breath work, hole training and pelvic floor exercises, there’s a lot that goes into becoming an expert bottom. But if learning to take dick is like getting a four-year degree in gay sex, learning how to take a fist requires grad school and a residency. But luckily for aspiring fistees, Danny—better known as FFire Boy—is a fisting coach in New York City with a passion for teaching bottoms the ins and outs (but mostly ins) of getting fisted for pleasure.

Danny’s own journey towards fisting started in 2020, when like a lot of Cruisers, he spent a lot of time playing with his hole. “I had a massive butt plug that I was finally able to take,” Danny recalls of his favorite quarantine pastime. “After that I thought, ‘wouldn’t a fist feel nice?’” Soon, he took the logical next step: He went on Sniffies and found an FF top with small, beginner-friendly hands. The rest, as they say, is fistory.
After a few years of casual fisting, Danny began posting videos on JustForFans and X in 2022. A couple years later, he’d built a following and found a new line of work. “A friend suggested I start a business training people who are curious about fisting but don’t know where to start.” That’s when his coaching practice was born.
Unlike your run-of-the-mill hole trainer, Danny’s background as a social worker informs his practice. “I have a Master’s degree in clinical psychology, so I approach training using techniques I’ve learned in my career to make clients feel safe,” he explains. “It’s not just training someone’s hole, but educating them on their anatomy, sensations they feel, communication skills, and breath work.”
So what does a beginner session look like? It starts before you walk in the door. “I’ll provide a prepping guide ahead of our session,” he explains. “When you show up, we’ll have a check-in, you’ll hop into my sling, and I’ll work you open with a couple fingers. Then I have a couple small beginner toys to open you up more.” But a session with Danny is more than simply learning to put large objects in your butt—he offers something of a spiritual experience. “Quite a few of my clients have cried during sessions,” he says. “Emotional things that they may have repressed come up for them, so I’m able to process with them, hold them, and provide aftercare after training.”
Danny’s has plans to take his fisting practice beyond the sling too. He offers virtual training sessions, guiding trainees remotely through breath work as they learn to ride toys. He uses a (w)holistic approach to fisting—that includes education. In his recent webinar “Depth Is Anatomical,” he explained the anatomy of the asshole as a means to better get in touch with your body. For Danny, fisting is more than an erotic act, it’s akin to a philosophy. “I want to become a thought leader in the space,” he says.
