Pack your bags, Cruiser, you’re hitting the road. We’re heading to Montreal for a weekend—and before you ask, no this won’t be a weekend exclusively filled with endless orgies. There will also be bukkakes. And Sniffies-fueled park meetups. And, yes, there might even be an opportunity for a brunch so delicious it will change your life. Throw an extra pair of Sniffies briefs in your bag—we’re off.
WHERE TO STAY
You’ll want to stay somewhere central, but probably not directly in Montreal’s infamous gay village. Find a rental in Plateau Mont-Royal—it’s near solid restaurants and parks, but not in the middle of a super touristy area. Take a quick walk around to orient yourself with the neighborhood—who knows? You might lock eyes with a fellow Cruiser along the way.

WHERE TO WORKOUT
If you want to get in a good sweat while you’re traveling, Montreal has some solid options for you. Gyms like Nautilus Plus (we’d recommend the Plateau Mont Royal location, IYKYK) and United Gym offer affordable day or weekly rates for visitors—plus they’ve got communal showers.
You didn’t hear it from us, but you might be met with some lingering stares in the locker room at Le Cité and the Econofitness in Papineau. Be smart, and be safe, as always.

WHERE TO CRUISE
If you’re looking for a sure thing, G.I. Joe is your best bet. It’s the largest sauna in the city and, now reopened bigger and better after a large fire, it’s open 24 hours a day, so you can head over whenever the mood strikes—just be sure to check the Sniffies map beforehand to make sure it’s active. Oasis sauna is another popular bathhouse with a more…uh…rustic vibe if that’s your thing. And we hear Bain Colonial heats up on Tuesday nights, so plan accordingly.
For a night out, get to Stereo late for loud music, low lights, and, we’ve heard, fun bathrooms. For raves, Exposé Noir, and Homegrown Harvest are our go-tos.
If you’re lucky enough to hit Montreal in nice weather, late night park meet ups are definitely an option. Check out Parc La Fontaine after midnight, or take a stroll through Parc Laurier or Parc Des Faubourgs after hours. Keep a lookout, and who knows who’ll you meet.
WHERE TO GO
Montreal is one of a few cities where male strippers can dance fully naked (and hard), which is why it’s definitely worth checking out a few strip clubs. Bar Campus, and Bar Taboo will have strippers performing. If you’re looking for a more casual drink, take a stroll down St. Catherine St. and pop into any one of the many gay bars that catch your eye.
Swing by Cinema L’amour, an adult movie theater—heads up, they play straight films, but you never know who you’ll find there. If you’re not in the mood for a movie, check out PHI for some contemporary art, scoop up a zine or two at Librarie Clark in the Centre Clark, or take a wander around Le Jardin Botanique.
